GDOT Engineers Association

Code of Ethics

It shall be considered ethical and consistent with honorable and dignified membership in the Association for any member:

  1. To act for the State in the performance of duty as a faithful employee and a true public servant.
  2. To uphold the professional reputation or technical standing of any fellow employee and defend him against false or malicious charges.
  3. To act always and engage in practice which will tend to bring credit to the State, the Department of Transportation, and the Georgia Department of Transportation Engineer's Association.
  4. To resist any direct political pressures, in the performance of duty, that would be adverse to the public interest.
  5. To refuse any remuneration or gifts from others in conjunction with the performance of duty.
