GDOT Engineers Association

On Wednesday, May 17th, the Jesup District had an Employee Health Fair staffed by local physicians, nurses, student nurses, and other health care professionals. A total of 326 employees attended and took advantage of the various health screenings available. The Jesup Chapter of GDOTEA provided lunch, and they worked hard to prepare 400 hamburgers, 200 hotdogs, chips and tea! Will Murphy, Chapter President, said they served about 350 to 375 people, and he wanted to thank all members involved for their hard work in helping to get the message out to our members and potential members that we really appreciate and care about every one of them!

On Saturday, May 13th, 2006, the Jesup Chapter participated in the Glennville Onion Festival in Glennville, Georgia. They sold bottled water and their famous lemonade. Some of the members working were: John Relihan, Charles Moody, Bill Howell, Teresa Nugent, Sheree Smart, Pamela Trowbridge and Randy Gibson. A profit of $196.33 was made, along with great laughs and memories. A great big "THANK YOU" to the members who planned and helped.

The Jesup Chapter held a Valentine's Day raffle for a dozen roses. The amount of money raised was $144.00, but the brownie pointes racked up for winner Bob Brantley from the Glennville Shop CANNOT BE MEASURED!!!
